Change of identity for ‘polizia roma capitale’

The Metropolitan Police of Rome (“Polizia Municipale di Roma”) modifies its name and becomes “Polizia Roma Capitale”, according to the recent changes of the capital city’s identity. For the Police Department it is a real operation of repositioning, to improve its reputation and gain more authority.
The brand has preserved both its previous symbol and lettering, while the proportions between these two elements have been changed to bring out the new naming. The lettering used for the logotype is the same as the Roma Capitale’s one. Designed ad hoc for the capital city: a font able to synthesized the two main periods of the European culture, the Roman age and the Renaissance.
The new identity has been graphically enhanced, in order to be more connected with the metropolitan system of Rome and to encourage the dialogue between institutions and citizens.
